Wladimir Klitschko may be the boxing heavyweight champion of the world, but he's already insisted that British boxer Anthony Joshua has all the tools to replace him. Yet again, he's proven the champ is right. A.J. was supposed to have his first tough fight for the WBC international heavyweight title, and yet again, he won a fight within two rounds. The fight was stopped with Denis Bakhtov unable to continue. One of the next fights coming up for the WBC champ could be former world champion David Haye, but how will A.J. perform against the better boxers?
Wlad and Joshua have recently sparred together, and soon after the champion insisted that Joshua could easily replace him. Wlad has dominated the heavyweight division for what feels like forever, but he looks sure to retire sooner rather than later, leaving plenty of room for the likes of Joshua and Haye to replace him.
Joshua is unbeaten, and at this moment in time, he's currently fighting roughly every six weeks, when most boxers fight twice a year, showing his determination to push himself to the very top as quickly as possible. Rumours have suggested that he might soon fight Haye, who was once the British boxing icon.
Wlad believes Anthony can replace him, and after beating Bakhtov to win his first title, one can wonder, will he win a world title before long? Whether he wins or loses his next few fights, he's willing to put the work in. Despite finishing his fight early, he made up for the lost rounds with extra pad work right after his fight finished. Sounds like he has the heart of a champion after all.
