Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Champion Jordan Burroughs Takes Home Gold for USA

Jordan Burroughs posted a twitter photo of himself smiling and holding up a shiny gold medal, fulfilling his prediction that he would win.  Burroughs representing the USA won in the Olympics freestyle wrestling game beating Sadegh Goudarzi from Iran.

The wrestlers are expected to compete in three two-minute periods and the first wrestler to win two periods is named the victor.  Burroughs beat Goudarzi in the first two rounds and called it a victory.  It was a close match with each win just 11 seconds shy of the two-minute period.

Burroughs now can boast as the first USA wrestler to win gold in the London Olympics so far.
