Waka and his wife Tammy Rivera got married earlier this year and joined VH1's LHHATL for its third season.
According to RumorFix, she said "it was the craziest day ever," referring to Waka's arrest. She went on to explain they have matching MCM backpacks and he picked up the wrong before leaving for Texas. "He thought he took everything out of the bag, but it still had my headphones and my gun," she told the site.
She said she has keeps the gun in the house for protection, but she put it in her backpack to keep it away from her child while they're trying to move out of their house. Tammy also stressed to the site that she registered the gun and has a license to carry it too.
Incidentally, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) posted a picture on their Instagram of Waka's gun and the bullets with the caption saying, "[The gun] was loaded with 29 rounds plus one in the chamber. This could have been legally packed in checked baggage."
