London Olympic Closing Ceremony organizers are keeping their mouth shut about the performers in the three and a half hour musical concert on Sunday evening (August 12). Despite their silence, information leaks and rumors spread.
So far, the names that have been flying in the air to perform include One Direction, Muse, Spice Girls, Take That, George Michael, Ed Sheeran, Adele and more. Some seem pretty confirmed while others are leaving fans with a big question mark.
Pictures of Spice Girls rehearsing surfaced on the web fueling more confirmation about their closing ceremony performance.
Muse accidentally leaked the news. Don Howard said to NME, "They sowed a seed by asking us to do some music but then five months went by. We showed them a few songs when they asked us about [the] closing ceremony and they loved it. It represented the enormous competition of what the Olympics is"
The event which is directed by music director David Arnold is expected to be very British and "full of amazing British music".
Arnold had worked hard on this huge event for two years with a very capable and talented team.
Along with the highly anticipated music feast, viewers will watch the Olympic flame extinguished and the torch passed on officially to Rio De Janeiro in Brazil.
