British comedian and Monty Python member John Cleese has been pretty busy promoting his new autobiography, So Anyway..., and along the way he made a recent stop at the Cheltenham Literary Festival this past Sunday (Oct. 12). During the event, the actor had some pretty interesting comments about the current worries surrounding the world –– including ISIS and Ebola. And while we're all petrified of both, Cleese, on the other hand, thinks he'll soon be dead and won't have to worry about either.

Womp, womp, womp...

"I have only got five or six years left and I will be gone," said the 74-year-old comedian. He continued, "I won't have to worry about ISIS or Ebola, I am looking forward to it."

The Hollywood Reporter notes that on top of his comments about the modern world "plaguing" him, the absurdist comic admitted that he would no longer be making movies –– something that undoubtedly upset fans hoping for a sequel to A Fish Called Wanda and Fierce Creatures. On the hopeful follow-ups, Cleese firmly put his foot down, stating, "No, because it is too much like hard work. It is two-and-three-quarter years and I am too old for that process."

"If I started on it now I would die," he later added.

Cleese, as we all know, came to fame with his comedy group Monty Python. And as we'd all assume the troupe were rather close chums, the comedian notes that's not entirely true. "The key to understanding Python now is we have all driven off in completely different directions," noting that the members were never "huge friends."
