Cameron Diaz has been a Hollywood staple for the last two decades, often pushing the boundaries and making her own rules, and the actress is sticking to her guns in the new issue of Marie Claire. In the magazine's November issue, Diaz opens up about children and marriage and not always doing what others expect of her.
The 42-year-old actress, starring in the upcoming film adaption of the musical Annie, opened up to the magazine on whether or not she'll have kids of her own someday and whether she'll get married or not.
"I'm not looking for a husband or marriage or not not looking for that stuff," the actress revealed. "I'm living, and not thinking what I should or shouldn't be doing with my life."
We previously reported on engagement rumors that have been swirling around Cameron and her boyfriend Benji Madden, after the starlet showed up to a red carpet event wearing some pretty interesting new jewelry.
The actress also revealed in the magazine why she doesn't feel the need to have children and why she's just leaving that up to fate.
"We live in a society where everyone has kids, so they want other people to have kids," Diaz explained. "There is this culture that says celebrities are supposed to be just like us, so people think, 'I have children, why doesn't she?'"
"But I'm not going to do something because it's expected," Cameron continued. "If a family happens, then it happens. If children come to me, then I would do that, but I'm not someone who feels like she has to do something because it's expected."
