Kesha is filing a new lawsuit against her former mentor and producer Dr. Luke, claiming that while the two were working together that he had been abusive to her. In new reports, the songwriter is claiming that not only was Luke verbally and emotionally abusive towards her, but he also exhibited sexual and physical abusive behavior at times.
TMZ obtained the lawsuit, which states that for 10 years, Luke was abusive towards the singer. Kesha signed with the producer when she was 18 and she claims that he forced her, during that time, to use both drugs and alcohol in order for her to lower her inhibitions towards him.
The lawsuit describes a few instances of Luke's abuse towards Kesha, including him forcing her to partake in drugs and alcohol before getting on a plane, and him trying to force himself on top of her while she wasn't in the right state of mind.
Another situation talks about a time that Dr. Luke made Kesha drink with him and that the following morning she ended up naked in his bed, feeling very sore and unsure of how she got there.
"This lawsuit is a wholehearted effort by Kesha to regain control of her music career and her personal freedom after suffering for ten years as a victim of mental manipulation, emotional abuse and an instance of sexual assault at the hands of Dr. Luke," Mark Geragos, Kesha's lawyer explained to TMZ.
Well now, it looks like Dr. Luke is speaking out about the lawsuit, filing one of his own just hours after Kesha's. He is claiming that the singer is making up these stories in order to get out of their contract together, according to his lawsuit obtained by TMZ.
The star is claiming that the whole lawsuit is made up by Kesha's mom, Pebe, and the singer's new management firm. Not only does he say that the stories that Kesha is telling are untrue, but he also claims that the she extorted him. He allegedly had a copy of the lawsuit for months, which Kesha threatened to release if he didn't release her from her contract.
Christine Lepera, Dr. Luke's lawyer is claiming that the abuse stories are, "a campaign of publishing outrageous and untrue statements."
The lawyer also says that Kesha and her mom have already admitted to the rumors being false.
