Since the elevator incident, Solange Knowles has been quiet, which is rather unusual being that the singer is known for being outspoken. She has gone on a complete media hiatus, totally neglecting her 2.4 million followers on Twitter for nearly five months now. This left many of her fans wondering what Solange has been up to. In a recent shoot for Bang and Olufsen magazine, a publication that features the latest on TVs, music systems and speakers, photographer Casper Sejersen captured a serene Solange.
We see a different Solange in this shoot. Beyoncé's younger sister, looks whimsical and free. When it comes to her style, the looks in this shoot are neutral and simplistic — a huge difference from the bold colors and wild prints we're so used to seeing her wear.
The soulful singer wears minimal foundation, but goes heavy on the eye shadow. She wears a shade of cranberry all over her lid, from lash to brow. As for her hair, the soulful singer channeled Diana Ross, with big, wavy hair. Hip Hollywood described the pictures as "hauntingly beautiful ... but, just a bit creepy."
Can't argue with that!
Earlier this week, Solange posted photos on Instagram from her shoot. One of the photos features Solange making a universal hand gesture, as if to silence all the haters and drama that has surrounded her since the viral incident with her brother-in-law Jay Z.
Solange addressed the incident earlier this year in an interview with Lucky Magazine.
"What's important is that my family and I are all good," she said. "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."
The family released a joint statement to the Associated Press May 15, saying their family is like any other.
"Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family," the statement read, in part.
"We've always held each other down no matter what," Solange told Lucky. "That's something I'm drilling into Julez [her son] now."
