Larry David is an undeniably lucky man. There's no doubt about that. If not for his financial situation, his comedic genius for creating both Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm and the influence he's had on the culture as a whole, then surely because of the recent comments made by Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence in her Vanity Fair interview. You know, the one where she said she feels something "below the belt" for LD. Well, now the famed apathetic comedian has responded!
"It's a shame I'm bout 40 years older than she is," David said during his interview at the New Yorker Festival this past Saturday, Oct. 11, according to Time.
In her interview, the 24-year-old said of the 67-year-old comic, "I'm in love with him, and I have been for a really long time. I worship Woody Allen, but I don't feel it below the belt the way I do for Larry David."
On that comment, David joked that perhaps she was referring to her knees, in speaking of "below the belt." But of course, we know what she really meant.
He ended his thoughts by saying, "I don't think I could do it. On one hand it's very flattering and on another hand, it's kind of a shame––in terms of timing. I'd have fun watching the reality show of it, though."
So, from the sound of it, does Larry David want to date Jennifer Lawrence? They sure would make a cute couple... maybe?
