RHOBH Adrienne Maloof Opens Up About Divorce From Plastic Surgeon Paul Nassif [PHOTO]

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Adrienne Maloof – who will now have a reoccurring role on the show this coming season – is opening up about her 2012 divorce from husband Paul Nassif.

In a sit-down interview with Too Fab, the multi-millionaire states, "I've been asked if the show was the cause of the divorce and I'd have to say that no it wasn't ... but it probably put it over the edge. I think that it was already having issues and when you're in the public eye and those issues are so explosive over the world, it's very difficult to make a marriage work," she says.

The former couple is no stranger to reality television, as before being cast on the RHOBH her plastic surgeon husband appeared on the E! series Dr. 90201 and has currently just finished the reality series Botched... also on E!

The couple married in May 2002 and have three sons together: Gavin, 11, and twins Collin and Christian, 8.

"Going through a divorce period is difficult at best, so when you're in front of the public eye and having to air your dirty laundry in public, it's hard on the children, it's hard on both of you, it's never easy."

They settled their divorce in 2013 in a Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.

The divorce made headlines, however, what really stirred the media into a frenzy is Maloof's dating choice in much younger men (she is 53) such as former boyfriend, Sean Stewart, 34, son of British rocker Rod Stewart. That relationship ended and Maloof says she's in a much better place, dating again a much younger man, Jacob Busch, 24.

"I really don't think about the number. If you take that number out of the equation, you're still going to have the same relationship," Adrienne says of the 28-year age gap. "Many women do it, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Moore, Madonna. If you got a great relationship, you got a great relationship."
