No, Ben Affleck didn't attend Michigan State University or play college football, but he's using that campus's gym while he's shooting Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice in East Lansing, Michigan. What a good guy Ben is. He's not only Batman saving the world, he's a motivational speaker as well. So what did he have to say exactly to the young football Spartans during one of their practices?
MSU coach Mark Dantonio saw a good opportunity to grab Ben out of their weight room and ask if the famous actor could give a few choice words to his team before one of their season's practices.
"I'm Batman," Affleck began.
The campus is excited having a Hollywood star so close to home — Los Angeles is pretty far from Michigan!
One local reporter said, "All the students are thrilled. 'Oh, maybe we'll see the stars,'" said Ann Pierret of WILK (Channel 10). "It's an exciting distraction."

"Ben Affleck worked out in the Duffy Daugherty Football Building weight room for more than an hour this afternoon, and Coach Dantonio asked him to address the team prior to Thursday's practice," John Lewandowski, MSU's associate athletic director, said in a statement. "Ben took the microphone and introduced himself as, 'I'm Batman.' He delivered a brief message to the team, encouraging the players to take care of business this weekend at Indiana."
Basically, we know where Affeck's sports loyalties lie. Faculty and students have been tweeting pictures with the actor as him and the film crews have taken over the school. Roads and sections of MSU are closed for filming, which began Wednesday night, Oct. 15, and is expected to wrap up Friday night, according to the Lansing State Journal.
