It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The Calgary Flames battle it out on the ice against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the start of the 2014 NHL regular season on Friday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Nationwide Arena in Ohio. Following Opening Week of the 2014 regular season, the Flames snag the No. 23 spot in ESPN.com's NHL power rank round-up with a 3-2-0 record:

Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets currently hold the no. 8 spot (out of 30 total teams) with a 2-1-0 record:
