So long twerking. Miley Cyrus might have been the mastermind that brought the world of twerking to the forefront of pop culture, but the star admitted that when it comes to dance crazes she is on to the next one. The star stopped by the popular Australian talk show Sunrise where she debuted her new dance the Nae Nae.
While being interviewed by host David "Kochie" Koch, the TV personality says to the star, "Twerking seems so yesterday."
"I'm glad you know that," the star explained back to Koch, adding "some people are living in the past."
When questioned what the new twerking was Miley gives everyone a treat and pulls out the moves for the Nae Nae. The demonstration stars around the 6:50 mark.
"It's called the Nae Nae," Miley said before showing the audience a demonstration. "You have to do it! You go like this," she says while getting up to show the hosts.
When the crowd sees it they go wild, but Miley says that the Nae Nae craze hasn't really caught on yet.
"I keep trying to start it at all of my shows," she explained, "and no one is really doing it back at me. I just don't think it's made its way to Australia yet."
According to E! News, Miley says that her dancers the L.A. Bakers are the ones that introduced her to the moves, and that they are also the same dancers that showed her how to twerk.
Miley is currently performing on the Australian leg of her Bangerz Tour.
