Are Victoria Beckham's dresses good enough to be placed in the fashion hall of fame in the London Olympics closing ceremony? Beckham's high end designer label was included in the British hall of fame feature in the ceremony alongside design greats like Alexander McQueen to many people's surprise.
Only the top 9 of the entire country were chosen: Vivienne Westwood, Christopher Kane, Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Erdem, Jonathan Saunders, Stephen Jones, Paul Smith and Victoria Beckham.
Supermodel Georgia May Jagger showcased Beckham's design dress while walking down the runaway with other top models Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, David Gandy, Lily Cole.
Beckham's knee length gold dress with a wide flair was not the best seen on display. The designer created the dress with "the ideas of high performance - in terms of quality, fit, fabric and stitching".
Beckhams's brand is still young in the industry, though Beckham herself has always been in the spotlight for her fashion for much longer.
When Beckham's line launched in 2007, critics continued to ridicule her for the expensively priced outfits and for creating her clothes overseas instead of in Britain. One dress in her mainline brand was priced at £1650 pounds.
She added a more affordable line named "Victora, Victoria Beckham" but the clothes are still quite expensive at £500 dress.
Some suspect that this was more of a branding and marketing effort for Victoria Beckham, who has many admirers.
The mother of four definitely received a high honor for the inclusion on the fashion hall of fame.
On a more positive note, the mother of four did impress when she reunited with the Spice Girls on the Olympics stage. Her toned figure deserves to be in a British hall of fame.
