You may recall that last year actor Shia LaBeouf was canned from the Broadway play Orphans, which starred 30 Rock's own Alec Baldwin. The reason for his firing? Well, the two just didn't get along. Apparently when you get two guys with big personalities together it doesn't always go as smoothly as you would hope. But now, the Fury lead is saying he was wrong to act as he did towards Baldwin, blaming it on "embracing method acting," as GossipCop notes.

In a new spread with Interview, LaBeouf admits, "Alec and I butted heads hard. I was sleeping in the park... At the time, I was out of my mind." The actor claims he was reading about performance art prior to taking on the Orphans role. "I thought... We're all involved here. It's not just your stage. We're all in here and we're all part of this. I was wrong."

LaBeouf's character in the play was to be a thief named Treat, who was known for being sometimes brutal and violent. In the story, Treat kidnaps Baldwin's character. Therefore, in order to get into the role, LaBeouf had planned to attempt to "intimidate the f*ck out of Baldwin" to make their onstage presence more real.

The actor adds, "That was the role. And I wasn't going to be fake. I wanted him to be scared. So I went about doing that for three weeks of rehearsal."

Obviously, things didn't go as he was hoping because it was rumored that Baldwin had LaBeouf fired.

So, while his role was that of a difficult person – one Baldwin's character would have to just sit back and take – it turns out the real Alec Baldwin had no interest in dealing with difficult people. And in truth, can you blame him?

LaBeouf's interview is in the Nov. 2014 issue of the magazine. Check that out at their site.
