Guns N’ Roses to Kick Off Vegas Residency on Halloween

When plans involve rock and roll bad boy Axl Rose, things tend to go awry. But as of now, it has been confirmed that Axl and fellow Guns N' Roses band mates will kick off a concert stint at The Joint inside Sin City's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino starting October 31.

It was announced on Monday that Guns N' Roses will put on 12 shows at the legendary Vegas venue, from October 31 to November 24.

The mini-Vegas tour, sponsored by AEG Live, has been deemed 'Appetite for Democracy.' "Appetite for Destruction" is Guns N' Roses' debut studio album which includes the hits "Welcome to the Jungle," "Paradise City," and "Sweet Child O' Mine." When things began to turn sour between band mates in the mid-1990s, many members left to follow other musical pursuits (famed guitarist Slash officially left the band in 1996 and went on to form Velvet Revolver with fellow ex-Guns members before journeying out on a solo career). "Chinese Democracy" (2008) was the long-anticipated follow-up to 1993's "The Spaghetti Incident?," and supposedly cost over $13 million for Rose to produce.

Rose is currently the only original member left in the Guns N' Roses lineup, which consists of Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, DJ Ashba, and Richard Fortus (guitar), Tommy Stinson (bass), Frank Ferrer (drums), and Chris Pitman and Dizzy Reed (keyboards).

According to the vice president of booking at AEG Live Bobby Reynolds, "This past New Year's Eve, Guns N' Roses tore the roof off The Joint with two sold-out shows. To hear one of the biggest bands in the world rip through their catalog of hits is going to be amazing."

Tickets for the Vegas gigs go on sale Friday, August 17 at 10 a.m. and range from $45 to $111.
