Celebrities including Jamie Foxx, Tina Knowles, Kris Jenner, the Hilton sisters, Star Jones, Ludacris, Nile Rodgers, Alicia Keys, Bethenney Frankel and her husband Swizz Beatz and many more attended the Angel Ball 2014 Monday night, Oct. 20, a fundraising event for Gabrielle's Angel Foundation to raise awareness for cancer research.
Founded by Denise Rich, the annual ball is a "fundraising event of Gabrielle's Angel Foundation, the Angel Ball stands out as one of the highlights of the New York social season. This star-studded event, known for its amazing live entertainment and celebrity participants, honors individuals who have made significant humanitarian and philanthropic contributions in support of cancer research. The Angel Ball boasts attendees in the fields of business, philanthropy and society alike at this annual celebration of life, music and the quest for a cure."
This year's event was held at the Cipriani Wall Street with musical guests including pregnant R&B singer Keys, Foxx and rapper Ludacris.
Avery Wilson opened the show with a beautiful ballad and music legend Nile Rodgers and Chic got the crowd on the floor with a string of their numerous hit songs.
Honorees included Jho Low, chief executive officer of Jynwel Capital Limited and director of the Jynwel Charitable Foundation Limited; four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and founder of the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation Jeff Gordon; His Excellency Yousef Al Otaiba, ambassador to the United Arab Emirates and Mrs. Abeer Al Otaiba; and multi-Grammy-Award-winning music legend Nile Rodgers.
Board member and celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz served as gala chairwoman and sponsors included United Airlines, Emilio Pucci, CHAMPAGNE TAITTINGER, Haute Living and Voss Water.
