It seems not everyone is in love with legendary comedian Bill Cosby. Standup Hannibal Buress recently did a set in Philadelphia and called out the famed Cosby Show lead for his various sexual assault charges, according to the Daily Beast, going so far as to call Cosby a rapist.
Claiming Cosby has the "f*cking smuggest old black man public persona" the comedian loathes, Buress proceeded to take down the noted funnyman without any qualms.
"He gets on TV, 'Pull your pants up black people, I was on TV in the '80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom.'"
Buress then goes for the jugular, "Yeah, but you rape women, Bill Cosby, so turn the crazy down a couple notches. 'I don't curse onstage.' Well, yeah, you're a rapist, so I'll take you saying lots of mother*ckers."
The Daily Beast also notes that Buress, who has appeared on anything from 30 Rock to the more recent Seth Rogen-led film Neighbors, is speaking about the allegations brought against Cosby back in 2006 when a Temple University employee by the name of Andrea Constand claimed the comic "drugged and sexually assaulted her in his Philadelphia mansion in 2004."
The 32-year-old employee stated that Cosby presented her with "herbal medications" that would aid in getting rid of her anxieties. When she couldn't walk on her own, however, that's when the assault occurred.
Buress ended his Cosby rant with, "I don't know what I'm doing by telling you. I guess I want to just at least make it weird for you to watch Cosby Show reruns."
