Following Opening Week of the 2014 regular season, the Maple Leafs snag the No. 22 spot in Scott Burnside's official power ranking round-up for ESPN.com with a 3-3-1 record:
"Will Leafs fans have any jerseys left to hurl on the ice at the Air Canada Centre by the All-Star break? The Leafs are 1-3 at home."
Meanwhile, the Senators currently hold the no. 7 spot (out of 30 total teams) with a 4-1-0 record:
"Kudos to coach Paul MacLean for getting the Sens out of the gate in strong fashion (4-1) after a disappointing season that had some wondering about his job security. Both Craig Anderson and Robin Lehner are delivering in net early for the Sens, who have won four in a row."
