The critically acclaimed X-Men director, Bryan Singer, is getting ready to welcome his first child via surrogate, who is already seven months along!

The 49-year-old Superman Returns producer reportedly lives close by the surrogate, Michelle Clunie, and the two – though not romantically involved – are friends, according to TMZ. The gossip site reports that Clunie bought a West Hollywood house so she could be in close vicinity to Singer.

Although the Hollywood name makes headlines with his blockbuster hits such as Apt Pupil, Valkyrie and Jack the Giant Slayer, his fame is not without controversy and allegations.

In 1997, a 14-year-old extra accused Singer of asking the young teenager and his friends to film a shower scene in the nude for the film Apt Pupil. A lawsuit was filed but dismissed for insufficient evidence.

The director considers himself bisexual and has dated both men and women in the past. He has stated that his sexual preference has helped influence his directing ability.

Two other sexual allegations have been made against the famed director. One in April 2014, when he was accused of drugging and raping actor and model Michael Egan in Hawaii and Los Angeles in the late 1990's. Singer and his attorney called the allegations "completely fabricated" and "outrageous, vicious and completely false"

By the same April 2014 attorney, Jeff Herman filed yet another lawsuit against Singer on behalf of an anonymous British man. Accusing Singer and director Gary Goddard of sexually assaulting "John Doe No. 117." At the time "John Doe" was a minor and said Singer engaged in acts of "gender violence" against him in London during the premiere of Superman Returns.

As for Clunie, she is an actress who formerly appeared on Queer as Folk. And it seems as though, the actress is on board with gender equality as she posted this on her twitter account recently.
