Taylor Swift revealed that her new album is called "Red" with the first single titled "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together".  Set to release on October 22, 2012, Swift has much to say about the past two years.

As expected, Swift's new album is is about her relationships and the first single was reportedly inspired by an "ex-boyfriend".  It's also rumored that her parent's separation was a big influence on her new album.  She had revealed to press that this album would be more on a "sad" note.

Swift explains how she came up with the album title in a statement.

"For the last two years, I've been working on an album called Red/  I called it Red because of the tumultuous, crazy adventures in love and loss that it chronicles. In my mind, when you experience love that's fast-paced and out of control and mixes infatuation, jealousy, frustration, miscommunication, and all of those lovely emotions...in retrospect, it all looks red."

When one sees the color red, words like assign, fire, hurt, pain and even blood comes up.

The first single off of the album was released last night (August 13).  Already, the single topped the chart at No. 1.
