Robert Pattinson First Interview Post Kristen Stewart Scandal on the Daily Show Aug. 13, 2012 [Details]

Robert Pattinson came out of hiding finally and met up with Jon Stewart for an interview on The Daily Show regarding his upcoming film Cosmopolis.  Of course, what everybody wanted to know was what Pattinson had to say about Kristen Stewart.

The interview aired at 11:00 p.m. on Monday August 13, 2012.  In case you have been in a cave, Kristen Stewart had just cheated on him with her Snow White and the Huntsman director a few weeks ago and they have never been seen together since then.  They even packed their bags and were their separate ways.

The highlight of the interview was seeing the Pattinson and Jon Stewart eating ice cream together.  

Stewart (the host) joked as they started off the interview with two Ben & Jerry's pints, "We're just a couple of gals talking.  Tell me everything."

Unfortunately, Pattinson disappointed all those waiting for him to mention even a little thing about Kristen Stewart.  Her name didn't even come out of his lips.  Pattinson did however reveal that he is too cheap to hire a publicist, though he needs one.

There were awkward moments as he dodged the "ex-girlfriend" questions.  

Jon Stewart did try to hit at it again as the ice cream was melting.

"The last time I had a break-up, Ben & Jerry's took me through some of the tougher times, so I thought you and I could bond over this and talk about 'Boy you are better off, kick her to the curb.'"

Still, Stewart had no luck in getting Pattinson to speak about that.  

Pattinson has always been quiet about his private life and this interview was no exception.

Two more interviews are scheduled later this week.  Perhaps Good America and MTV might be able to get him to say something.
