It's been a while since we've seen a Michael Richards-Jerry Seinfeld reunion. Perhaps the last time was Richards' 2012 episode of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. But now, the former Seinfeld stars have come together yet again for a promotion video to tease both Crackle – the home of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee – and the upcoming season of Seinfeld's hit web series.
Taking place at the Crackle headquarters, the once-upon-a-time Cosmo Kramer plays Crackle president, Dick Corcoran. Seinfeld heads all the way out west, to Hollywood, to meet face-to-face with the man who orders the veteran comedian take down both "snap" and "pop."
Telling Seinfeld, "Jerry, Crackle is dead," Corcoran then claims that the reason Crackle isn't as popular as streaming services Netflix and Hulu is because of the aforementioned "snap" and "pop" –– referencing the famed slogan "snap, crackle and pop." Therefore, he needs Seinfeld's help in getting rid of the two. "Now either we eliminate them or we go down with them!"
He concludes, "I want them out. I want them done!"
Check out the tease below:
So, does Seinfeld take down snap and pop? The clip ends with "To be continued..." so we'll have to wait and see!
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, which is sponsored by Acura (did you catch the product placement?), kicks off Season 5 this coming Nov. 6. The guests will include Jimmy Fallon, Kevin Hart, Bill Burr, Fred Armisen and Amy Schumer.
