The Food Network's Ace of Cakes reality star Duff Goldman spoke with Us Weekly at the Hollywood premiere of On Any Sunday: The Next Chapter regarding his passion for riding motorcycles even after his serious accident where he lost his toes.

"I love motorcycles," Goldman gushed. "They're part of my soul. Even though I got in a wreck a little while ago and lost some toes — I had to promise my parents and everybody that I'd stop riding — but I can't."

Although there is little documented of his 2012 crash, Goldman stayed busy as he was a guest on MTV's Ridiculousness and also appeared on the YouTube channel "Smosh" in early 2013.

"It didn't scare me," the motorcycle enthusiast revealed. "It just made me make the choice — more consciously to say, 'I'm doing something that is very dangerous, but it's something I love.'"

Although Goldman made that promise to his parents, riding is something he feels deeply about. "[It's] ingrained in my heart and soul. There was about an eight-month period where I didn't ride bikes," he said. "I was driving a truck, and every time I would see a bike go by ... and I was like, 'I can't do it anymore.'"

The 39-year-old is the executive chef of the Baltimore-based Charm City Cakes, which was at the forefront of Ace of Cakes. Goldman's work has also been featured on the Food Network Challenge, Iron Chef America, Oprah, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Man v. Food.

"I felt like a little baby bird that learned how to fly. I just took off, I was so excited," Goldman finished saying of riding.
