In an ... interesting (?) ... move, Taylor Swift has teamed up with the likes of NYC Go to become the welcome ambassador for tourism. Swift, who dropped her newest album, 1989, today, recently moved to NYC and has been loving every minute of it... which is obvious considering her new single "Welcome to New York."
The Hollywood Reporter notes that Swift made the announcement on Good Morning America earlier today (Monday, Oct. 27), speaking Robin Roberts. The 24-year-old singer spoke about the city and her recent move. She also, of course, talked up the new album, which has delivered hit singles such as "Shake It Off," "Out Of The Woods" and the aforementioned "Welcome to New York."
Watch Swift's interview with Roberts over here.
Upon the announcement of her new gig, the singer-songwriter made a promotional video for New York. Because, you know, NYC needs the attention. The full promo from NYC Go can be seen here.

As far as how the new album is doing? Well, come on, it is Taylor Swift, so it's safe to say 1989 is doing a little more than okay. Especially with all of the promotion she's been doing...
Yes, it's a busy promo day.. But if you think I'm too busy to cyber-stalk you, you're WRONG. #TS1989 pic.twitter.com/akVs0dgWI7 — Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) October 27, 2014
