Chinese Woman Lives In KFC For A Week After Breakup With Her Boyfriend

Usually when breakups happen the former couple hits the gym to get in shape, but this Chinese woman took the opposite approach when her boyfriend broke up with her. Tan Shen, a 26-year-old woman from Sichuan, China decided to take to a KFC fast food restaurant to try to get over her ex.

According to the Mashable, the Chinese woman stumbled into the Kentucky Fried Chicken to get some chicken wings, but when she found solace in the restaurant she decided to extend her stay for a few days.

"I didn't want to go back to my apartment because it was full of memories of him. So I stayed," Shen explained of her ex-boyfriend. "I hadn't planned on stay there long, I just wanted some chicken wings."

Well it seems that chicken wings turned into a week-long adventure for the Sichuan native.

It might seem strange that none of the workers noticed that Shen was staying in their restaurant, but one of the employees spoke out to Central European News, saying that because they work in shifts no one thought she had been there for an extended period of time.

"We work in shifts here and the restaurant is open 24 hours a day, so we get a lot of people coming through," the worker explained. "At first no one really noticed her, but after a few days I began thinking she looked really familiar. Then I realized we had been serving her for the past three days and that she hadn't actually left."

Shen eventually left the restaurant, saying that she was getting sick of the taste of chicken and reporters looking to write stories on her.
