Demi Lovato has had a pretty busy year. Not only did she release her fourth studio album, Demi, but she's also embarking on two tours — the Neon Lights Tour and Demi World Tour — and also scored three Top 40 hits with songs from the record on the Hot 100 chart. With all this success, fans are wondering if a new album is in the works for the former Disney darling. Well, according to Billboard, Lovato's expected to release a new album next year. The "Really Don't Care" star just finished up the North American leg of her Demi World Tour and is expected to take a few weeks off before heading to Istanbul to start a short European leg. But once she's done with the tour, she'll head back into the studio to start work on her next album.

Lovato's manager, Phil McIntyre, spoke out to the music publication last week and explained the status on Demi's newest LP.

"She's finishing up right now on the last leg of her touring for this year, and we finish it up with a couple of radio shows," McIntrye explained. "Then the plan is for her to go back into the studio and start the next creative process. She's already done some songs, but certainly the majority of it will kick off next year."

Ken Bunt, president of Disney Music Group, also spoke out to Billboard, explaining his excitement for the project.

"We're really excited. We've got a new album coming from her next year," he revealed. "We're not talking release dates yet. And she's going to continue her world tour throughout next year."

MTV also confirmed the news.
