According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Good Will Hunting team of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are joining forces yet again. This time, however, they'll be teaming with 30 Rock producer Colleen McGuinness for a new comedy for FOX.
The network has reportedly given the project, which is being produced by both Affleck and Damon's Pearl Street Films and Universal Television, a "script plus penalty commitment." As of this reporting, the project will be a single-camera comedy series that "centers on a 25-year-old woman who works at a frozen yogurt shop." Further detailing the story, the lead character's life is "going no where" until she finds out that she is telekinetic.
McGuinness, who was a writer-producer on 30 Rock for all six seasons of the famed NBC show, is set to write the script and executive produce the comedy for FOX. Also exec producing is, obviously, both Affeck and Damon as well as Pearl Street Films' president Jennifer Todd.
This untitled FOX comedy is the second project for McGuinness, who according to THR, will be getting back together with 30 Rock's Tina Fey and Robert Carlock for yet another project for NBC.
Affleck, of course, has been gaining a significant amount of recognition for her performance in the recently released David Fincher-directed film Gone Girl, which is based off the book of the same name by author Gillian Flynn. Affleck is also gearing up to star in the Zack Snyder film Batman v. Superman.
Damon was recently seen in The Monuments Men, which was released earlier this year.
