The life of Mario Balotelli has always been one full of ups and downs, and the past week has seen more of the same. The Liverpool striker first took a lot of stick for poor football performances, then he was in trouble with the police for acting in a "threatening manner" towards a woman who took a picture of his Ferrari. The incident was dropped, and the police are seemingly ready forget it. Just when the world were asking why the Reds are sticking by their man, he popped up, scoring the game-changing goal, sending Swansea, a Premier League rival, out of the Capital One Cup.
The Manchester police explained, "No criminal offenses were disclosed and no crime recorded. Police were called to Pewsey Road, Wythenshawe, just after 3 p.m. on Thursday, 23 October 2014 following reports of threatening behavior. Officers have since spoken to the complainant [and] no further action will be taken."
Will Balotelli put these miserable weeks in the past, moving on, helping Liverpool on their road to recovery? The Reds have had a poor season, and they're hoping the troubled talent can inspire a much better spell of form, proving that they can indeed challenge for trophies once again. After nearly winning the EPL title last season, they were hoping Balotelli could help them repeat that form, but so far they've looked an ordinary side at best, making many doubt Balotelli's ability.
Will Balotelli ever find consistency in his life and on the field, or is trouble destined to follow him wherever he goes?
