According to multiple sources and an official blog post from Sony on the PlayStation website, it looks like months of waiting for a YouTube app on the PS4 has come to an end! Though the original launch date of the app was for the end of 2014, starting this week you'll be able to watch YouTube clips in 1080p on your console as well as share your own gameplay to your account! This helps gamers that make a living on YouTube and Twitch get their product to their viewers easily - so what else will this new app do for us?
This news comes from IGN, which points out that this week's Software Update 2.0 for the PlayStation 4 included this new app.
"Starting today you can share gameplay directly to YouTube on PlayStation 4 like a bawss [sic], and watch all the YouTube you love with a new app starting to roll out today in the PlayStation Store," the PlayStation blog post states. "Just hit the Share button on the DualShock 4 controller to turn your power move into your next great video on YouTube."
