Kelly Clarkson Boyfriend 2012: 'Stronger' Singer Super Happy and In Love

Kelly Clarkson couldn't be happier in her current relationship with beau Brandon Blackstock, and the "American Idol" winner claims that being so content in her personal life has made her more confident.

The "Stronger" songstress reported to People, "I think as you get old you just get less worried about the little stuff that doesn't matter and you focus more on the bigger picture. And, you know, I'm also in love. I'm just super happy right now."

Blackstock, who manages the "Drink on It" singer Blake Shelton and is also the stepson of legendary country singer Reba McEntire, has been linked to Clarkson since 2011. Clarkson is very open about their relationship and can't help but to gush over how extremely happy she is to be at such a healthy and stable point in her life right now:

"I love that I'm in a relationship right now," Clarkson said back in June when the music industry duo made their first official appearance together as a couple. "I want a life... The past five years or so I've found my groove and my balance."

Looks like the "Since U Been Gone" star and her hubby have even decided to take their relationship to the next level - they've purchased a German Shepard puppy together, named Bear.

"Uh-oh ... commitment level," Clarkson, 30, joked with People.

The cute canine joins Clarkson's other two furry friends Security (a Maltese) and Joplin (a black poodle).

On Tuesday Clarkson had a scare when Joplin was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons. The "American Idol" star had to toughen up and perform a show in Ohio just a few hours after the incident. She tweeted fans on Wednesday:

@kelly_clarkson: "I had the worst day yesterday because my little baby Joplin, one my dogs, almost died and I was a wreck. He is now at a vet hospital and doing better. Please say a prayer for him."

And it was recently reported that Blackstock took a surprise visit to be by the singer's side during her time of need. Clarkson later tweeted:

@kelly_clarkson: "My boyfriend is a pilot and flew in to surprise me and be with me because I was so sad. He wins Best Boyfriend Award ... hands down. I'm very lucky he loves me so much."

How sweet! Now that's true commitment.
