'The Vampire Diaries' Spoilers: Newcomer Jodi Lyn O’Keefe Teases Jo's Relationship With Alaric

Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries is full of love, drama and vampires, as usual, but this season Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) might have a chance at real love. TVD newcomer Jodi Lyn O'Keefe teases her character Jo's relationship with Alaric and more.

Despite the fact that Alaric is such an amazing character and super hot, he never seems to be able to catch a break when it comes to women. This time around, he might have better luck, according to his new onscreen love.

"Maybe he'll catch a break this time," Jodi told TV Line about Jo and Alaric's budding romance. Anytime Alaric finds love is good with us, but what makes Jo a good fit for the professor?

"She doesn't take any crap, which is really good, and she knows what she wants. She's her own woman, and I think that's good for anyone. I think Alaric could use a little good luck after his history with women; things haven't ended well for him," the 36-year-old actress told the publication.

Jodi revealed that after watching the whole series, for research purposes, she fell in love with the central love triangle that has fueled the series since Day 1.

"Honestly, I'm still really loving the main love triangle. For me, it all happened in fast forward, but it was so cool to watch that romantic battle with Elena, Stefan and Damon. That's been the best part for me so far," she revealed.

Even though the original love triangle seems to be at a standstill so far this season, the Salvatore brothers have other women in their lives that they are dealing with. First up, Mr. Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) is forced to bond with Bonnie this week.

"While the two will always get on each other's nerves, this Thursday's episode features a lovely — albeit fleeting — moment between Bonnie and Damon that suggests they may not hate each other as much as they claim to," TV Line reported Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Stefan (Paul Wesley), on the other hand, will find himself in Caroline's dorm room while she's wearing nothing but a towel!
