Telltale Games' ‘Game of Thrones' PHOTOS: George R.R. Martin’s Videogame Aims 2014 Release Date!

After becoming a big hit on HBO, George R.R. Martin's popular fantasy/medieval novels, Game of Thrones, are getting the Telltale Games serialized treatment. Hoping to strike the same success after The Walking Dead game, Telltale's Game of Thrones may be available for gamers by the end of the year.

As we mentioned before, Telltale announced they were working on the Game of Thrones videogame at the VGX awards last year. There hasn't been much news about the game until the developers spoke up through their social media site. The game developers used a quote from Martin's A Dance With Dragons and came up with a hashtag.  

The caption states, "...Trackers and Hunters Sworn To Deepwood with clan names like FORRESTER and Woods, Branch, and Bole."

Another photo has been released through their Facebook page. The quote states, "...A wood of stubborn sentinel tries armored in grey-green needles of mighty oaks, of IRONWOODS, as old as the realm itself."

Followers of the book series know that A Dance With Dragons is the fifth installment of the seven books. In the mythology, House Forrester is a noble house in the North. Asha Greyjoy may or may not be one of the characters integral to the game.

According to IGN, the quote references the godswood in Winterfell, where Catelyn goes to find her husband, Ned. The videogame might just focus on the North, where the Starks ruled. 

Recently, Telltale's community and PR specialist Laura Perusco dropped a major hint on her official Twitter account. 

When asked when the GoT is heading to Xbox Live Arcade, Perusco responds, "No specific release date announced yet, but I can confirm that the season IS premiering later this year. :)"

Though there has been no official release date, the Telltale Games will premiere their title  before the end of th year. Readers, are you excited to play the Games of Thrones videogame
