Alicia Keys chats it up about her excited 4-year-old son Egypt Daoud's new role as an older brother!
"He is excited to be a big brother," the singer gushed to People at the singer's Keep a Child Alive's Black Ball charity event.
As Mstars News has previously reported, the "Girl on Fire" singer and husband Swizz Beatz attended their organization's HIV/AIDS event hand in hand. Beatz made headlines as he was affectionate with his wife's baby bump on the red carpet Thursday, Oct. 30, in New York City.
The singer, 33, announced that she's due at the end of December.
"I think he's super excited because he's not going to be the youngest anymore," Keys said.
This will be the fifth child for producer Beatz, 36, — real name Kasseem Dean — and his second child with Keys. His first son, Prince, 15, was with Nicole Levy. He has his second child, Kaseem, 6, with Mashonda, an R&B recording artist. He also has a daughter, Nicole, 5, with Russian singer Jahna Sebastian. Beatz and Keys announced they were engaged in 2010 and pregnant with Egypt, 4.
"Being a mother has definitely furthered my passion for Keep a Child Alive just talking about issues in the world overall," Keys said. "My husband tells me, 'You should go lay down,' But I can't, I'm inspired!"
Keys was out with her baby bump to host her organization's event. The ball brought out some big names like Sean "Diddy" Combs, Nas, David Byrne, Angel Haze and Kanye West.
Keys is the co-founder of the organization as well as the global ambassador for the nonprofit.
