While we anxiously wait for an all-new episode of Once Upon a Time tonight, we decided to give those loyal fan's like us some spoilers about the new season. Creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk all things fairy tales including if there is going to a new villain introduced in the second half of the season, if there is going to be a major death happening soon, and also what the end game looks like for the entire series.
While it was already reported by TV.com that True Blood actress Kristin Bauer van Straten would be reprising her role as Maleficent on Once Upon a Time, Kitsis and Horowitz did tease that there could also be another villain coming to the series. Mstars also reported that Maleficent was making her return.
For fans that might not remember Kristin's character in Once, take a look at the clip below.
The site reported that after the show's Frozen storyline is over, that they would reintroduce the villainous into the Once universe. However when asked if viewers are going to see another villain besides Maleficent, Adam replied, "I sure hope so."
The creative team also kept coy about a possible major character being killed off the series. When asked if there were any huge deaths coming to the show, Edward replied, "I hope so."
We will take both of those answers as yesses.
The news site also talked to the creators about the series end game and if they knew how they wanted their time in Storybrooke to conclude.
"We have had our series end game from when we created the series," Kitsis explains. "We have a road map, and we've allowed ourselves a lot of freedom, but it was never our intention to say, "Here's exactly what we're going to do." But we know where we're leading to."
Horowitz seconded his creative partners sentiments saying, "If you're asking whether we know what we'd like the last moment of the series to be, yes, we do."
Tune into an all-new episode of Once Upon a Time when it airs tonight at 8 pm on ABC.
