According to reports, Carey is excited to make the debut of the 2012 NFL season "even more festive." Gwen Stefani and her No Doubt crew aren't new to the NFL scene - the band performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2003.
In other NFL/musician related news, hip-hop artist Cee Lo Green is currently recording a track entitled "I Love Football," which goes to the beat of the Ramones' hit "Blitzkrieg Bop." The tune will be the opener for the NFL Network's Thursday Night Football broadcasts.
