Julia Stiles Is Coming To 'The Mindy Project,' Plus Find Out Which 'Mindy' Star Awkwardly Kissed Mindy Kaling

The Mindy Project returns with an all-new episode tomorrow night on Fox, but there is more good news. Save the Last Dance alum Julia Stiles will be making a cameo this season on the comedy series. Plus, one Mindy actress reveals she awkwardly kissed creator Mindy Kaling.

When The Mindy Project returns on Tuesday, Danny (played by Chris Messina) and Mindy (played by Mindy Kaling) will be at the forefront of the episode as usual, but that doesn't mean we don't want to see other characters getting some love. Entertainment Weekly exclusively reported that Morgan (played by Ike Barinholt) will be getting a new love interest this season and we are very excited.

Dexter star Julia Stiles will be coming in this season as a friend of Danny and love interest to Morgan. Julia's character will be appearing in a guest arc as a recovering hoarder, according to EW.

TV Guide previously reported that Fargo's Allison Tolman would be a love interest for Peter (played by Adam Pally) this season as well. According the publication, "Tolman will appear in two episodes as Abby Berman, described as sweet romance novelist who goes on a disastrous blind date with fratty doc Peter Prentice." Now, Fox has revealed that Allison's guest arc will begin on Tuesday and we can't wait to see the horrible date.

In other hilarious Mindy news, Beth Grant, who plays Beverly on the show, recently opened up about an awkward kiss encounter with Mindy Kaling herself. In an interview with HuffPost Live's Alyona Minkovski, Beth revealed she once kissed the actress.

"[Mindy] is gracious and lovely and kind, and always supportive and affectionate. A lot of times I'll be sitting in my makeup trailer and she comes by and gives me a little few fingers [on my shoulder to say hello], which is so thrilling to me," Beth explained to the host about how awesome Mindy is.

"In fact, one day — I'm sort of embarrassed to tell you this story — but I actually kissed her hand one day. I went home and said, 'Well, Michael' — that's my husband — I said, 'I kissed her hand today. This is the end.' She reached over to kind of touch me a little bit and I just went [smooch], an I thought 'I just kissed her hand!' but so what? I'm a fangirl, I'm geeky for Mindy, what can I tell you?"
