Following the announcement on Friday that three members of the Russian punk rock band Pussy Riot have been sentenced to two years in jail for "committing hooliganism driven by religious hatred" and offending religious believers, the band has released a new single entitled "Putin Lights Up the Fires."
The British national news outlet The Guardian has created a music video montage to go along with the Anti-Putin tune, and it features footage from the Pussy Riot trial, the band's staged protest at Moscow's Christ the Savior Cathedral, and fellow Riot fans and supporters.
International "Free Pussy Riot" protests and demonstrations have been taking place since Friday's announcement, including on the streets of New York City.
