Angelina Jolie is one of the busiest people in Hollywood right now with hit movies, a new husband, six children and her humanitarian work. So does the Maleficent beauty have any time to run for political office one day?
"When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered. Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility," the By the Sea actress said in Vanity Fair's December 2014 issue.
But since the Oscar winner's life is so hectic right now, it would be hard for her to go into any kind of public office, so Brad Pitt's role as "first man" would have to wait.
"I honestly don't know in what role I would be more useful — I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible," she told the magazine.
With her current schedule promoting her new movie Unbroken, which she starred in and directed, Angelina isn't saying no to going into politics in the future entirely.
"I am open," she said.
Angelina has had much experience dealing with world issues. She was appointed a U.N. Goodwill Ambassador in 2001 and is now director and special envoy for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees.
The Girl, Interrupted star also talked about a career in politics earlier this year with George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America. Something must've changed in her mind because at the time she wasn't into the idea so much.
"If I thought I'd be effective, I would," she said, referring to if she would run for office. "But I'm not sure if I would ever be taken seriously in that way and be able to be effective."
