Johnny Depp, Kevin Smith Daughters ‘Yoga Hosers’ Promo [PHOTO]: ‘Clerks’ Writer-Director Teams Up With ‘Into The Woods’ Actor For ‘Tusk’ Spinoff

Back in August, word spread of a possible collaboration between writer-director Kevin Smith and actor Johnny Depp in a film titled Yoga Hosers. Now, it looks as if things are kicking off, because the duo just released the below promo photo of the film's stars – Lily-Rose Depp and Harley Quinn Smith – their daughters.

Word of the collaboration spread quickly when The Hollywood Reporter first brought the team to light. Now, the very same publication is delighting us all with the below image.

The film, which is said to be a spinoff of Smith's 2014 horror flick Tusk, will star Depp (the father) as a detective in Quebec who is "enlisted" by Lily-Rose and Harley Quinn, two convenience store clerks. THR notes that all three actors will be reprising the roles they played in the aforementioned Tusk.

For those who find the combination of Depp, Smith and their daughters to be a newfound friendship, you may be surprised to hear (or read) that they've been longtime friends. "Their onscreen chemistry comes courtesy of a lifelong friendship: Harley and Lily have known each other since first grade," the director told THR.

On the duo's acting chops, Smith continued saying that they were making such "excellent choices" without him having to interject. And how did they learn? "...by watching movie and TV shows their whole lives," he said. Of course, having Johnny Depp and Kevin Smith as fathers probably didn't hurt either.

"But in their case, acting and goofing around is in their blood. And it was thrilling to watch them both take their first steps in what's bound to be a lifelong passion for performance," he added.

The writer-director recently showed himself sans the famed Kevin Smith beard on Twitter. The below video states that his reason for doing so was because he's to play all of the monsters in Yoga Hosers.
