'Sons Of Anarchy' Recap: Charlie Hunnam's Jax Teller Witnesses Death In “What A Piece Of Work Is Man!”

With a member of SAMCRO in danger and another major revelation takes place, the final ride continues with major shocker for Sons of Anarchy on FX. Unable to keep the truce, Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) will witness the death of a beloved member and friend in 'What a Piece of Work Is Man.'

In order to trade for Bobby (Mark Boone Junior)'s life, mob boss August Marks wants the Pastor's Son. Unfortunately, the Pastor's son makes a run for it, but after a lengthy motorcycle chase, Jax (Hunnam) has the runaway cornered. Jax promises him that he is going to the war with Marks.

While Jucie (Theo Rossi) waits for his turn to kill Henry Lin, Gemma (Katey Sagal) has to finger Lin's crew member, the same innocent man Jax killed before, to Sheriff Althea (Annabeth Gish). During their meeting, Gemma lets loose that Althea is on the take and is sleeping around with Chibs. After a shove match, Althea gets back up, threatening Gemma, who also promises to kill her.

Gemma ends up at the cabin with Nero (Jimmy Smits) and her grandkids. Still angry after having lost the fight, Althea discovers the truth about Lin's dead crew member. Because he was in another state and in the drunk tank of a precinct, there was no way he could've killed Tara that same night as well. 

Moses has respect for Bobby because of his loyalty to SAMCRO. With his jaw broken, Bobby cannot say what's really going on, when Jax and the Pastor's son meet August. To make sure the Pastor's son stays silent and Jax learns the consequence of betraying him, Marks shoots Bobby in the back of the head.

Holding Bobby in his bloody arms, Jax tells his dead friend he is sorry for letting him down. The rest of the motorcycle club can barely hold back their tears. At the cabin, Gemma lets loose and drowns herself in tears as she confesses again to Bobby's dead body. In the background, Abel listens to his grandmother beg for forgiveness. 

Chibs (Tommy Flanagan) meets with Althea so that she can setup Jax's revenge plan against Marks. With the dead Pastor, they will frame Marks for the murder and have him arrested. With the son and mother's testimony, this will hurt the mob boss and the property deal he was scheming.

Althea just wants to know if Chibs really does care about her, or he is just using her for sex. Just as she is about to leave, Chibs places a kiss on her lips. The two strip off their clothing and screw each other on top of the police car. 

Just when Juice thinks he is going to meet Henry Lin, the guards play a trick on him. The guards actually send him into solitary confinement, where he cannot get a hold of LIn. They shut the door on Juice before he can scream.

Jax and Chibs watch in the background as Marks is arrested. With Marks in the backseat of the police car, Moses Cartwright, the man who broke Bobby's jaw, is next in charge.

Making another bad decision, Jax watches Bobby die in front of him in Sons of Anarchy. Readers, what did you think of What a Piece of Work Is Man?
