Just one day after news broke in regards to Christian Bale quitting the Steve Jobs biopic movie project from writer Aaron Sorkin and director Danny Boyle, rumors are spreading saying Michael Fassbender is now in talks for the role! Multiple reports are claiming the X-Men: Days of Future Past star is now at the top of the list to portray the Apple founder, but will Bale's quick departure make the new star hesitate to sign on?
As Sorkin described in a recent interview where he confirmed Bale's casting, the role of Jobs in this film will be very demanding of the actor portraying him. Some think this is why Bale had to step down, but sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Christian didn't feel he was the right person for the job. Is Fassbender the right man for the ... Job(s)? (sorry)
Deadline is saying that Fassbender isn't exactly jumping at the opportunity while Variety says he's definitely in talks for the role (via Slash Film). What do you think of this possible casting news? Let us know in the comments section below!
