While Reload Studios might be a relatively new video game development studio, the individual devs that work there have decades of experience, namely in the Call of Duty franchise. Within the same week of the release of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Reload teased its own new game, which is a virtual reality shooter.
Speaking of Advanced Warfare, read our Exclusive Interview with composer Harry Gregson-Williams, who made the score for this new video game! Also, watch Conan O'Brien play the new game here!
"We saw a lot of potential in VR," the studio's executive producer Pete Blumel told IGN in a new interview. "We thought, 'Man, this would be really cool if we tried something different?' To do something fun and crazy and different but still harken back to our roots and what we know and love about military shooters and things like that. So here we are."
You can check out this great teaser from Reload, and see just what this studio is going for in a fun new video here:
"We have all the right people and all the right resources because we already know how to make a game," Blumel continued. "We're not a studio that just started out of nowhere; we've been doing this for a long time. We're not even 4 months old and we have a build that's running; it's got multiplayer, it's got a lot of fun gameplay elements already. We're trying to design controls and a scheme and a way to have that experience be really fun and compelling. Hopefully we can apply virtual reality to something that's fun and different. It's not an easy nut to crack. It's all about failing fast and getting the speed execution -- faster and faster and faster."
