The Honey Boo Boo scandal just keeps on coming. In the wake of allegations that TLC reality star and matriarch of the Honey Boo Boo family, Mama June Shannon, stole $30,000 from her daughter's trust fund, it seems fans are rallying together to try to replace the stolen money. Reports broke earlier this month that Mama June had taken money from her daughter Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell's account in order to buy a car for her boyfriend Mark McDaniel. But the story gets even more twisted, as McDaniel is actually a convicted child molester who abused "Chickadee" when she was 8.
While the loss of the money came as a blow to Anna, it seems the reality star still has fans on her side, as Radar Online is reporting that Julie Tice Poulin started a campaign to raise funds to replace the money stolen from the account.
Poulin started a Go Fund Me account for 20-year-old Cardwell in order to help her support her family, which includes husband Michael and daughter Kaitlyn. The account currently has $55 and has been open for two days.
"I have a 20-year-old daughter, and can't even imagine how Anna must feel right now," founder Poulin explained. "I can't imagine the emotions."
When asked why she started the account, the 41-year-old Georgia housewife explained, "I hope she can regain the money lost from her trust fund."
Anna sat down with E! News earlier this week to talk about the money issues, saying that when she called the bank they told her that only $17.90 was left in the $30,000 account.
"I have a feeling Mama used that money to buy a car or buy him what he wanted," Chickadee explained to the site.
But Mama June swears all the money is still in the account, aside from what she took out to pay her daughter a monthly allowance.
"I have never bought a car for him and all her money is there, besides the money I have given her to live on — $400 every month and pay her $475 each month for cellphone bills for the last two years. That's the only money I have taken out of there," June explained.
