'Chrisley Knows Best' Todd and Julie Chrisley Under Fire As Bankruptcy Trustee Claims Couple Has Fraudulent Assets

The USA reality show family of Chrisley Knows Best has been under scrutiny regarding their 2012 bankruptcy issues, and currently the allegations keep rolling in in regards to "fraudulent" charges.

Radaronline.com has reported that court trustee Jason Pettie is making new allegations against Todd and Julie Chrisley in newly filed court documents that state that he "has reason to believe" the couple has submitted past "fraudulent" documents.

"This is the first request for additional time and based on the parties' desire to mediate, there is no prejudice in extending the Scheduling Deadlines to provide Plaintiff with time to engage in limited and focused discovery," reads the bankruptcy trustee's claims to the court, obtained by radaronline.com.

Based on the new claims, Pettie has reason to believe the Chrisleys had a 2005 document signed off on that was "not associated with [the couple] until 2007."

"Plaintiff has reason to believe that based upon the existence of other 'back-dated' documents in the record, the Purported Agreement may be fraudulent as well," continues the claim.

As Pettie initates the lawsuit to allow more time to look into the Chrisleys's financial status — past and present — his cliam comes at a time when media scrutiny is at its highest for the couple. The couple's show is currenlty in its second season of "Chrisley Knows Best." As MStars News previously reported, Chrisley has listed $4.2 million in assets while filing a petition for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in August 2012.

Pettie's purpose for a longer discovery period is that he hopes this will help him reveal other skeletons within the financial realm of the Chrisley's bank statements and funds.

"We're moving forward," Chrisley said to People magazine recently. "It's always hard to have unfortunate situations in your life, but the family is all good. We're very blessed."
