After months and months of teasing, USA Network is officially about to begin the final Season 6 of White Collar. With the reformed con artist Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) missing, it's now up to FBI agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) to find him before his 'Borrowed Time' runs out.
The reason Boothe kidnapped Neal is because the feds are holding the diamond, but the item is too hot that no one would want to buy it. Because he doesn't have the diamond on time, Neal and Boothe make a deal to steal something from the crime syndicate known as the Pink Panthers. Desperate to find Neal at any cost, Peter has a talk with Rebecca (Bridget Regan) and convinces her to tell him who kidnapped Neal.
As the FBI raids the abandoned warehouse, Peter discovers the message Neal left for him. Mozzie (Willie Garson) helps the team, Clinton (Sharif Atkins) and Diana (Marsha Thomason), figure out how Neal would break into the building. Though Mozzie doesn't want to, he names Fat Charlie as the person Neal would go to next.
Standing in for Fat Charlie, Peter pretends to be the guy who can get Neal's equipment. Neal is able to secretly tell Peter that they are planning to rob the Pink Panthers. Though Boothe suspects something, he doesn't realize this is really a sting operation.
Peter reveals to his team that one of the tenants in the building is the leader of the Pink Panthers. Before the big heist, Peter has a chat with Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen) on the phone. Because Elizabeth asked him to take care of his husband, Mozzie arrives to the suit's place with food in hand, and has dinner with him.
With the zip line in place, Neal is able to pass through roof's security undetected. All of a sudden, the leader of the Pink Panthers arrives in a fancy sports car. Peter realizes they need to buy Neal some extra time or else he will be spotted.
Neal enters the private office, sneaks into the safe, and switches passports. Mozzie buys some time causing a distraction with the leader of the Pink Panthers. Just as Neal makes his escape, Boothe takes out his gun and points the loaded weapon at him.
In Neal's standoff with Boothe, Peter and Diana rush in with guns blazing. With Boothe shot and arrested, Neal now was a way in with the Pink Panthers. If Neal brings in the criminal organization in handcuffs, he then gets his freedom.
Neal has one last conversation with Rebecca before she is sent off to prison again. Because she doesn't want to go back, Rebecca steals one of the guard's guns and gets shot in return. Neal closes her eyes as she lies dead on the street.
The episode ends with two major surprises. Elizabeth is back in town because she's having a baby with Peter. Neal isn't just planning his freedom; he wants something else in return.
The final season of White Collar has just begun. Readers, what did you think of Borrowed Time?
