Kyle Chrisley Calls His 'Chrisley Knows Best' Dad "Manipulative" and a "Snake" -- Todd Responds

Chrisley Knows Best star Todd Chrisley may have a hit reality show, but his contentious relationship with his oldest son Kyle Chrisley seems to not be getting better.

The reality star has had to defend him against an explosive interview his son gave to the Daily Mail where he said, "My dad is all about control. He's vindictive and manipulative. He's a snake and if there's a snake in the grass you don't know but hell it'll bite you when you go by."

"My relationship hasn't changed because of the things Kyle's doing," Todd told E! News. "I love him the same since the day I brought him home from the hospital and held him the first time."

According to the USA star, his son is bipolar and is not being treated for it anymore, which has led to his outbursts to the media.

"I just have to love Kyle a little differently right now, because Kyle has to get back on his medicine," he said. "He has to get stable and understand-he knows the difference between right and wrong. They've all been brought up to know the difference."

"And when one of my children ventures out of that lane, it's my job as a parent to pull them back in," the Atlanta resident continued. "So my relationship hasn't changed with my son, I still love him the same as before he decided to call me a snake."

As MStars News reported, Todd is going through another devastating life circumstance. His brother, Randy Chrisley, is battling stage four cancer.

"I flew back to be with my brother and I had him moved to a hospital in Atlanta and he's doing as well as he can," according to E!. "He's on his sixth round of radiation and first round of chemo so he's kinda knocked out right now with the chemo. But you know, we're prayerful, we lift it up to the Lord and we trust that whatever's gonna happen is gonna happen and He'll give us the strength to walk through it."
