Ready for another crazy rumor infiltrating the world of hip-hop?
According to the infamous gossip webloid MediaTakeOut.com, rapper Lil Wayne's well-established industry label Young Money/Cash Money Records is preparing to file for bankruptcy VERY soon. Apparently, Weezy is currently under "extreme financial distress."
Sounds a bit shady considerng the YMCMB superstar is a big money spender, but MTO claims that the problems mostly consern impending lawsuits and issues involving the IRS.
Such money issues rumoredly caused a "riff" between Weezy and Drizzy in the past...
Such details still remain hazy, although a "senior" member of the label insists that bankruptcy is indeed looming.
This insider "snitch" reveals that if Weezy doesn't act quickly and get things figured out, his posse's in big trouble. The company may have "file for bankruptcy protection and liquidate their assets." If that happens, big-name artists under the label (including Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Tyga). may be let off. Meaning their contracts would be up for grabs, and would likely be offered to the "highest bidder..."
As MTO suggest, Jay-Z and his Roc Nation crew would probably jump at the opportunity.
Do MstarsNews readers believe any of this?
No members of YMCMB have yet to respond on Instagram or Twitter. Minaj continues hyping her highly-anticipated upcoming album The PinkPrint (out December 15, 2014). That must be a good sign, right?
Well, stay tuned...
Meanwhile, rumors suggest that Weezy is no longer dating "Dip It Low" songstress, Christina Milian...
