Rihanna And Chris Brown 2012: Says 'I Still Love Him' on Oprah Interview [Details]

Rihanna and Chris Brown are now "very very close friends" said RiRi on "Oprah's Next Chapter" which aired on August 19, 2012.  The singer  confessed her love for Brown with whom she broke up in 2009 after he attacked her physically.  "We've been working on our friendship again. ... We built a trust again and that's it", she revealed.  

After the two split in 2009, Rihanna and Chris Brown's romance never completely ended as they were always brought up in the media.  

A recent Soho club fight that Brown and Drake were involved in was rumored to be revolved around Rihanna.  Brown and Rihanna were also spotted in St. Tropaz vacationing with friends at the same time, and media speculated that the two have gotten back together.

Rihanna dispelled the rumors and explained, "We went to a mutual friend's party on a yacht.  It's awkward because I still love him."  She went on to say that she had to "maintain this poker face" in front of him to keep her feelings from being shown.

The pop diva shed off her bad girl stage image during this interview and confessed that the two will always love each for the rest of their lives, whether they are romantically linked or not.  At one point, she also referred to Brown as the love of her life.

"We love each other and we probably always will. And that's not anything that we're gonna try to change. It's not something you can shut off if you've ever been in love," Rihanna said.
