It's been four years since the Facebook movie, The Social Network hit theaters, and founder Mark Zuckerberg is just now voicing his opinion on the film.
The multi-billionaire - coined the 16th richest person in the world - answered an audience member's question on Thursday Nov. 6 in a live Q&A streamed on Facebook about the accuracy of The Social Network.
"It was a very interesting experience to watch a movie that was supposedly about my life...supposedly," he replied.
The 2010 David Fincher movie starring Jesse Eisenberg - who played Zuckerberg - depicted the future billionaire's life at Harvard and his road to creating the social network site. However, the movie - to Zuckerberg's eyes - wasn't exactly how the story went.
"I think the reality is that writing code and building a product and then building a company actually is not a glamourous enough thing to make a movie about," he responded.
Some people's opinions may differ, especially in regards to the lavish lifestyle he has now grown accustomed to. As Mstars News reported the 30-year-old billionaire recently spent $100 million to obtain and create a private 700-acre preserve for his family on Kauai's North Shore!
In regards to the movie - which also starred Justin Timberlake as the first President of Facebook and cofounder of Napster, Sean Parker - there was some embellishment in the film, Zuckerberg confirms.
"You can imagine that a lot of the stuff they probably had to embellish and make up," he revealed.
Embellishment or not, the social media mega house celebrated their 10th anniversary back in February and Mstars News reported that the company shared a special "Look Back" video for everyone.
And although Zuckerberg's success is shown throughout the movie, that doesn't mean he thought the structure of the plot was acceptable.
"They kind of made up a bunch of stuff that I found kind of hurtful," he said. "I take our mission really seriously, and we're here not primarily to just build a company, but to help connect the world."
Zuckerberg does help the world not only connect, but he has also recently donated $25 million to fight Ebola. The Facebook founder gave the money to Centers For Disease Control Foundation.
